So, I'm watching Punkd, and the episode with Shaun White just came on. Ah, redheads! If you know me in the least, you will know how much I love love LOVE redheads. Almost as much as I love British boys. It's kind of weird...but I'll roll with it. Literally, I get made fun of almost daily about this weird obsession. Most redheads aren't even cute, but man do I love them anyway. The pale skin, the freckles, how can a girl resist? Ha. So, if you know of any hottie gingerheads, send them my way.

Back to the Brits. I've been really getting into British indie / electro / pop type stuff recently (but aren't I always). The Wombats, The Hoosiers, Hadouken!, Girls Aloud, Scouting for Girls, Jack Penate. Music is just so much better coming from overseas! Recommend me some similar tunes to listen to!

Alright, I've always hated American Idol. But you can't ignore how great this season is!! So, who's keeping up with it? Last night was Beatles night! I was walking out the door to go to Hannas when it was on, so I only caught Jason Castro's performance. But, I just watched David Cook's version of "Eleanor Rigby" on YouTube.



Wow. I haven't been so blown away by a live performance in years. Let alone watching it on a three inch screen on shitty computer on YouTube. I don't know what it is about this song that just pulls at my heart so much. Eleanor Rigby has been one of my favorite songs since I was a kid. It's strange because I think David Cook's voice sort of sounds like the dude from Creed (I FUCKING HATE THAT BAND)...I usually really dislike that type of voice. But something about him. Something about that song. I still have goosebumps. So much passion, so much love, so much emotion bursting out of that performance. You can just see that dude being one incredible frontman. I want to watch it over and over and over again. It's also so interesting how the music and the voice sound so FAR from the Beatles, yet it was still an outstanding performance.

The other performance I loved was Carly Smithson's version of "Come Together". Jesus. Her voice is fucking out of this world!!! The chorus even sounded somewhat like a gospel in a way. I loved it!!

Both of those performances were so fucking powerful....I'm still blown away. Oh, and lets not forget about Jason Castro's version of "Hallelujah" last week. I still have tears in my eyes from that one. That kid is going to be a star. And his eyes.....*faint*

Wow, I am a fucking dork aren't I? Hahaha. Had to blog about it!! Spring break in one day!!!
